Kairos Prison Ministry of AZ – Kairos Inside Program
Kairos includes programs for those both inside and outside prisons, for inmates and their families. St. Philip’s Tucson is involved in this ministry. Please contact Jim Prescott-Smith for more information about St. Philip’s involvement in this ministry.
Kairos Outside
Kairos Outside, as the name implies, is conducted outside the walls of correctional institutions. Kairos Outside is a special weekend retreat designed to support the female loved ones of the men and women who are or have been incarcerated. Prison Fellowship
Prison Fellowship is a nonprofit worldwide organization that seeks the transformation of prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families through the faith in Jesus Christ. Options for serving those still within prison walls include: mentoring, facilitating a Bible Study/class/seminar, or become part of an in-prison ministry team. There are also options for serving ex-prisoners and their families including: mentoring, community re-entry team member, Angel Tree, mentoring a prisoner’s child/children. Prison Fellowship has several chapters located in Arizona including Buckeye, Maryvale, Phoenix and Tucson. Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Program
Angel Tree provides an opportunity for local congregations to extend the hope of the Gospel and enfold Angel Tree families into church life through delivering Christmas gifts on behalf of incarcerated parents, sending kids to summer camp and facilitating one-day sports camps. Angel Tree also invites and equips churches to enfold Angel Tree families into church life, resulting in mutually beneficial relationships of encouragement, growth, and support.
