Neighbor to Neighbor Fund

The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have upended life as we know it with businesses shattered, the loss of jobs, and reduction in benefits. While we waited for a vaccine and effective treatments, there are those in the diocesan family who have fallen on difficult times financially. The Neighbor to Neighbor Fund was established to assist members of our diocese with financial support in these unprecedented times.

Launched at Diocesan Convention 2020, this fund provides direct relief to members of our congregations and church communities in need. Job loss, health concerns, and fear of eviction are spurring a crisis for many members of our diocese during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first $5,000 in gifts will be matched dollar for dollar with a generous donation made in memory of Bishop Shahan and will provide the seed funds for a ministry fund that will assist those in need for years to come.

Giving to the Fund

If your finances are stable this year, please consider a gift with the confidence that our community continues to be cared for. All donations are a blessing!

How to Qualify for Support

If you are regularly affiliated with worship, fellowship, or service at an Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Arizona, you are a vital member of our community. We know these are difficult times and we encourage you to apply for financial support by completing the application below. Each applicant will need to identify a clergy contact at a congregation in order to verify the applicant’s affiliation with an Episcopal Church.

The names of applicants are confidential. A small group of diocesan leaders will make determinations about grants, based upon need and available funds.
