Bishop Reddall is happy to introduce the two newest members of the diocesan staff, who are starting this week. Toni Murdock began as our Events Coordinator on Monday, and Laurel Way began as our Director of Communications today. I am excited that each of them will be able to share their passion and energy towards serving the Gospel in the Diocese of Arizona!
Toni Murdock is so excited and honored to serve as the Events Coordinator! She and her husband, Jesse, have an active 1 ½-year-old daughter, Josie. Toni was born and raised in Western Kentucky and met her husband at Murray State University. During college, Toni found the Episcopal Church (or maybe it found her at the perfect time). The church began being a light in her life shortly after she began attending St. John’s Episcopal, Murray. There she helped any ministry she could to begin giving back. For the last 6 years, Toni and her family lived, worked, and learned in the San Francisco Bay Area. In California, she served as Parish Administrator (along with several other roles) at St. Mark’s Episcopal and began theological studies at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, both in Berkeley. Toni hopes to continue utilizing her fruits of the spirit to help share the light and love of God with the church and all people through the events she will soon plan for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona!
Laurel Way is a content writer for websites, blogs, and films. She is the former Marketing Manager for A Better Today Recovery Service where she was able to help those struggling with addiction. Originally from New Mexico, she moved to Phoenix in 2007 after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from the College of Santa Fe. She is currently enrolled at Arizona State University for their Digital Marketing Certification. Laurel is passionate about helping others, digital media, and all things geeky. She and her husband Chris love to travel, learn new skills, and spoil their two cats together.
