Good morning! It’s good to be with you all this morning. I wish I could be with you in
person, but I’m pleased to be speaking to you even if it has to be from down the road in
Tubac. I bring greetings from the Bishop on this Third Sunday of Easter as we draw
Earth Week to a close.
And on this Third Sunday of Easter, we hear the familiar and beloved story in Luke’s
Gospel of the encounter with Jesus on the road to Emmaus. I think it’s beloved because
it speaks to us on such a human level. Cleopas and his companion are shocked and
grieved as they walk from Jerusalem to the village of Emmaus.
